Maker–Taker Volume Fee Budget Resources

Estimate commissions across separate maker and taker executed volumes.

A single average fee rate can hide how much volume paid each liquidity rate. This worksheet calculates maker and taker commissions separately, combines them and reports a volume-weighted effective rate. You supply the applicable rates; the page does not publish a current exchange fee tier.

Maker–Taker Volume Fee Budget Calculator

Calculate a fee scenario from supplied executed volumes and maker/taker rates.

With hypothetical maker volume of 6,000 USD at 0.02% and taker volume of 4,000 USD at 0.06%, maker fees are 1.20 USD and taker fees are 2.40 USD. Total fees are 3.60 USD on 10,000 USD of volume, giving an effective fee rate of 0.036%.

10 Resources for Maker–Taker Cost Planning

Commission planning needs a rate source, executed volume and a clear maker/taker definition. The table separates provider references, record workflows and spreadsheet software so an estimated budget is not confused with an actual fee ledger.

Compare documented roles using executed volume, liquidity role, rate source, signed rebates, estimated versus recorded commissions. The Telegram channel we promote is disclosed in the first entry.

Prepare useful inputs

Use executed quote-currency volume in one currency for both categories. Enter percentages, so 0.02 means 0.02%, not 2%. A negative rate represents an explicitly supplied rebate. Check the venue, tier, product and date in your own rate source.

Read results in their proper scope

The estimate applies only to the supplied rates and volumes. It is not a ledger reconciliation and does not infer the asset in which commissions were paid. If combined volume is zero, the effective rate is Not defined, preserving the distinction between no activity and a measured zero rate.
